Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit appure.dev or contact me: why it is needed, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Przemysław Zadwórny Appure, Polish tax ID (NIP) 6121715729, operator of appure.dev.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello [at] appure.dev. I will respond without undue delay, within one month of receiving your request. If its complexity or the number of requests requires an extension, I will explain the reason within that first month. The deadline may be extended by up to two further months.
2. What data I process and why
You can browse the site without an account or providing contact details. I receive data when you contact me about my services. The server also processes the technical data needed to display and protect the site.
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details and information you share in a message or conversation, such as your name, email address, phone number and the subject of your enquiry | Answering your enquiry and handling correspondence | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and communicating with people who contact me |
| Data needed to prepare a proposal and deliver the work, when our conversation concerns entering into a contract with you | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing that contract | Art. 6(1)(b) — pre-contractual steps and a contract |
| Technical data that may be recorded in server logs, such as your IP address, connection time and requested URL | Serving the site, diagnosing errors and preventing abuse | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest in maintaining a functioning, secure website |
You provide information in correspondence voluntarily. Without details of your enquiry and a way to contact you, I may be unable to reply or prepare a proposal. Where our work requires accounting or tax records, the data in those records is processed to meet a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Website analytics is currently disabled. The site does not load Google Analytics or set analytics cookies. It does not use advertising trackers either.
3. How long data is kept
- Correspondence and enquiry details — for the time needed to handle the enquiry and any agreed follow-up.
- Contract-related data — for the duration of the contract, then to the extent required by tax and accounting law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, until the relevant limitation periods expire. Processing for legal claims is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Server logs — according to the hosting service's retention settings. Entries needed to investigate a security incident may be kept until the matter is resolved.
- Preferences stored in your browser — for the periods described in section 6. You can remove them in your browser settings.
4. Who may receive your data
I do not sell personal data or share it for other companies' marketing. To run the site and handle enquiries, I use providers that may process data to the extent needed to deliver their services:
- The hosting provider — serves the site and handles technical connection data.
- Email and communication service providers — handle messages or calls, depending on how you choose to contact me.
Authorised public bodies may also receive data where disclosure is required by law. You can email the address above for details about providers, processing locations, the basis for any transfers outside the European Economic Area and how to obtain a copy of the safeguards.
5. Your rights
Subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- access to your data and a copy of it;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- deletion of your data or restriction of processing where the conditions set out in the GDPR apply;
- portability of data you provided that I process by automated means on the basis of your consent or a contract;
- objection to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation;
- withdrawal of consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal;
- lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
To exercise your rights, email me with your request. If there are reasonable doubts about the identity of the person making the request, I may ask for information needed to confirm it. Some data may need to be retained despite a deletion request, for example to meet a legal obligation or defend legal claims.
6. Cookies and browser storage
The site remembers your chosen language, theme and decision in the
cookie panel using a cookie and your browser's local storage
(localStorage). These settings are not used to track
you across other websites.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
appure-consent |
localStorage | Remembers your cookie panel decision and when it was saved | Until you change your decision or clear browser data |
appure-lang |
localStorage | Remembers the language selected with the EN or PL button | Until you change the language or clear browser data |
appure-theme |
localStorage | Remembers your choice of light or dark theme | Until you change the theme or clear browser data |
appure_lang |
Cookie | Sends your language preference to the server so it can display the appropriate version of the site | 365 days from your last language selection |
Local storage has no automatic expiry. Changing a setting replaces its previous value. The language cookie is sent to the server when you connect to the site; values in local storage are read by the site's code in your browser.
You can change your cookie panel decision through Cookie settings in the homepage footer. Analytics remains disabled even if you select that option. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes saved preferences. You can set them again on your next visit.
7. Contact and links to other services
Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn and GitHub take you to external services. When you use them, their operators process data under their own privacy policies. If you prefer not to use these platforms, you can contact me by email or phone.
8. Security and automated decisions
An HTTPS connection encrypts data sent between your browser and the server. The site does not profile visitors or make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on them.
9. Changes to this policy
The current policy is available on this page, with its latest revision date at the top. I will update it if the way data is processed changes. Before introducing website analytics, I will explain the tool, the data involved and how it is processed, and ask for the appropriate consent.
